This weekend...

Hi KIDS!.
I hope you are having a great weekend. Remember to take a few minutes to look at your spelling list - our pretest is on Monday!! As this is the season to give, I am giving you no spelling HOMEWORK or fluency HOMEWORK this week - it will al be practiced in class!

My math class has a math test on Thursday this week - the study guide for Unit 5 will come home on Monday and will need to come back each day for review!

You will present your book reviews this week in a group activity. If you did an additional book review for a topic of your choice, you will have time to present that as well.

Finally, a permission slip came home yesterday regarding our field trip in January to Robert Crown. Please take some time to talk to your parents about this trip. It will focus on the changes you should expect in the next couple of years (or you could be going through these changes right now!), as well as the nature of human growth and development. If your parents have any questions about what to expect with the field trip, please tell them to contact me.

Have a great weekend!!!!!!

Winter is here (unofficially)

Well, did you all get blown away today on the way home?? I sure did!
We had a busy day. We took the GATES test today, which is an assessment of vocabulary and comprehension. We are also beginning our study of explorers, which includes a bit of study on lines of latitude and longitude (so studying those things would be beneficial).

Literacy - our test on the story Iditarod Dream is on Friday.

Remember, tomorrow night is our Family DInner Night out at Panda Express on Route 59 in front of the Meijer store. I'll be there about 5:30 - 6. :-)
