Flipped Learning

Image result for flipped learning

This course on flipped learning in the classroom has greatly helped me understand the benefits of this new way of teaching.  Most of all, I appreciate the resources that were shared on this topic. The Flipped Learning Worldwide Network is amazing and I found myself listening to podcasts in the car!  I am so inspired. Embarrassingly, this is my first time listening to podcasts. If anyone is reading this reflection and you have other podcasts to share that you routinely listen to and enjoy, please share them (specifically on teaching smarter or losing weight).  I know I will research more podcasts as they were so easy to listen to in the car or while I was getting ready in the morning....a good alternative to watching Netflix!
I appreciated learning about Jon Bergmann as well.  His website was a wealth of information and he was very easy to connect to since he is a teacher. There were a few other guests on the podcasts who I wanted to know more about so I googled them and found they all are “out there” for more learning!

I look forward to using some of the ideas for flipped learning that I got from my classmates on the discussions.  Having to do the videos on Flipgrid helped me become more comfortable with it and I plan to use it in many different ways, for one..when I am absent and can make a video letting the kids see me set my expectations for the day - not necessarily flipped learning, but how to use Flipgrid or video to assist me in making my class better!  Still so much to learn!
