Today we did an activity in class where we appointed a King, members of Parliament, and some tax collectors. The rest of the class were colonists and were given 10 M&Ms in a cup. The members of Parliament chose items to tax the colonists for, like wearing jeans, glasses, or the color red. The colonists were taxed a certain amount of M&Ms for those items and they weren't too happy about it! There is an assignment on EDMODO regarding this activity.
