Happy New Year to everyone!
We have easily transitioned back into the swing of things here in 5G! We are busy at work on our book reviews. One book was to be chosen to write a review about. It could have been a recent read or one that you finished over Winter Break. We are in the process of putting our ideas and opinions into a published pamphlet. We are learning a great deal about how to use the Publisher program!
As a reminder, field trip permission slips and money are due back soon for our trip to the Robert Crown Health Center. This is a trip we take to learn about human development. If you are curious about this programs, just click here to go to the Robert Crown site and click on Grade 5 and 6 program to read about the 5th grade program. Remember to open the lines of discussion with your child (or if you are the child reading this - talk to your parent!).
Spelling test this week is on Wednesday (and contract due).
My math class will have a quiz over Chapter 5 on Wednesday as well.
Last day for Accelerated Reader tests for this quarter will be Thursday!
