Now I hope to make up for the past couple of months by being better about posting. It is a goal of mine to post at least a couple of times a week. Let's see if I can keep up with it!
Today, we read lesson 1 from chapter 5 in social studies. We read about The Lost Colony of Roanoke and the first successful colony of Jamestown. Many students remembered learning about Jamestown in 3rd grade! It was a fascinating lesson, comparing the two attempts and evaluating why the colony of Jamestown "stuck it out" and made it work. The class is supposed to review the lesson (pages 156 - 161) and be prepared for an entrance slip covering the main ideas tomorrow.
My math class will have a quiz over chapter 5 Wednesday. A study guide came home today and only the odds need to be done for homework (due Wednesday). Mr. Klein's class will test tomorrow.
